Artist Community Call | January 2026
ZoomJoin this Community Call to meet with fellow artists of all disciplines to engage in a discussion on a monthly theme. Anyone is welcome in this safe, civil, and inclusive conversation. This is an opportunity to speak with other artists to ask questions, hear their thoughts and share yours. It's also an opportunity to respond to micro-prompts in a journal. I encourage everyone to bring a notebook and pen or pencil, or digital device. In January 2026, we'll be talking about 2026: Sharing intentions for 2026: What are yours? Do you have tips you can share for others about setting intentions? What has worked for you and what hasn't when it comes to setting intentions, goals, or objectives? A year in your personal narrative: I believe in the importance of writing the story of your own life in terms that are meaningful to you. There are different milestones that are useful, but the new year is often a good moment to reflect on the past year and plan for the next. How do you think about a year in terms of how it relates to your personal story? Is it a useful way to help you understand your own journey as an artist? Can you describe your 2025 in a few words? What to expect: I'll share the events' Code of Conduct and agenda. Introduce yourself: Name, location, artistic discipline and any highlights you want to share briefly. A brief introduction of each topic and then an opportunity for each person to speak, perhaps using breakout rooms depending on the number of attendees. Expect to take a few turns speaking out loud to the group, listening to others speak, and also having some opportunities to write some ideas in a notebook. I'm planning to offer these Community Calls for Artists once per month in 2026. Depending on how many artists join, we'll break into smaller groups for some parts of the discussion.
